It felt like a total new experience, a fresh start. My first day on the new school in Mariakerke, where i’ll be doing a “bachelor after bachelor” in graphical and digital media. I reached the building completely wet, after having biked 20 minutes through miserable rain. It’s not a very nice road (always straight ahead) but it’s safe with the seperated bike stroke.

Inside the main hall, my group of new students were waiting to get their first welcome. Nobody knew anybody, except for a couple of people. It’s a strange feeling when all standing there not knowing where to look at.

The school is mixed with buildings from the secundary, and some class rooms are in containers. It’s not the most comfortable place, and I fear that in winter it won’t be very cosy.

So what did we learn today ? Nothing at all, cause today and tommorow are so called “introduction days”, which i find very stupid and useless, nothing more than the info-day, but the nice thing about it is that you get to know some people and have time to arrange things.

Oh, and there are lot’s of boys, again ! Or perhaps a bit more girls than in computer science. Not a bad thing of course !, but girls are also nice to talk to. Should that explain why Guthenberg (the local student club) told us that there is a gay bar on the school and advised us not to go there ? I guess that was a joke

Things to the following days :
- Arrange my new student room (20% done)
- Buy some nice food
- Get to know lots of new people
- Write about my trip to Toscane from last week (soon)
